We were going to do another gorge walk today but instead we decided we would have a days rest from the walks as they are quite taxing. We will do the last gorge walk we want to see on this station from the free camp down the road.
So we spent the best part of the day just relaxing around camp trying to catch up on our photos and videos.
We did however go for a drive to Jackaroo Waterhole as they said there would be birds there. But typically there are more birds back at camp where all the people are hahaha
So back to camp for more relaxing although Karen did do a load of washing.
We popped up the souvenir shop as Karen wanted to buy a coaster....a $12 coaster but you need to have these things.
We then got ready and went to the Steakhouse at the station and had a meal. A very expensive meal but we do not do this very often and this is a good place to do it. But they messed our steaks up and gave Karen a rump instead of the rib eye we ordered. They offered of course to sort it out but it meant id have to eat my tea and karen would have to wait again for hers to be cooked so she just had the rump. They did give us a free drink each which I guess is quite the offer given the price of the drinks. We took the drinks unopened as neither of us really wanted them haha
We then popped into what they call the swinging arm bar to sit and watch a girl sing to the crowd for a little while. They have a nice fire and the atmosphere is quite nice and relaxed.
It was quite cold though so we didn't stay long and went back to camp to watch the abc story of the guy that got his leg caught in the franklin river in Tassie.
Then off to bed. We do go to bed early up here but we also get up very early.
