Day 63 Bungle Bungles

We are camped at the north end of the Purnululu national park at Kurrajong campground so we decided to do the northern end of the national park first.

We started out by driving up to the Stonehenge walk which was just a short walk around the bush really.

Then we went up to Echidna Chasm which was a spectacular walk through the weird rock formations and palm trees into this very large split rock forming the chasm. It had a cathedral type opening at the end. Everyone was there around 11 to see the sun pass over the gap in the rock which didnt really happen as we might think given it is winter and the sun doesnt really rise in the sky but still very spectacular.

We then walked up to Osmand Lookout on the way back.

Once back at camp we relaxed for a little bit but but we soon had to head off again this time down the road to Kungkalanayi Lookout to watch the sunset. It is a 360 degree view and was also very spectacular. We say it all the time but photo's never do these places justice.

It was dark when we got back to camp or close to it so we cooked tea inside, in fact we only really heated it up as it was precooked meals.

We watched a bit of telly and went to bed.
