We were up nice and early this morning to do the Edith Falls loop walk and hoping to catch the sunrise over the falls.
We headed out at first light and just made it to the top to an epic picture.
We then walked around to the top falls and contemplated having a swim. The access wasn't awesome and it was a bit slimy and slippery so we chicken out. It was not overly hot at this stage of the morning either so all these things combined meant we didnt jump in.
We got back down to the caravan around 8:30 i think and packed up and headed towards Darwin.
We stopped at Pine Creek for a look and was hoping to look at a car museum but it didnt open until later in the day, I took the opportunity to have some breakfast.
Up the road a bit further Karen found a loop road that headed out to Daly River region and Adelaide River, it was a narrow rough and slow road but far more interesting than the highway.
She found a waterfall walk which turned out to be a real hidden gem of a place. Free camping right on the river and a short walk up to the falls. Robins falls it was.
After the walk and a little splash in the crystal clear water we got back out onto the highway and headed to Howard Springs where our caravan park was.
The guy directed us to a group of vacant sites and we chose one that seemed nice enough with no other people around us!
We set up, played in the water park and had a swim in the pool. Later we went for a drive down to Howard Springs Reserve, it was a very large and pretty reserve.
