Day 114 Osprey Bay and Yardie Creek

Today was a bit windy so we decided it was a good time to drive down to Yardie Creek. This is the infamous crossing where everyone gets bogged heading down the coastal road.

While we was there a guy in van got himself badly bogged but there is also a better crossing, so you dont need to go into the really soft sand to get across but apparently thats the cool thing to do!

We did a walk up along the creek to look at the gorge which was really nice and there were a heap of bats in the tree's so Karen spent some time photographing them.

There are a lot of camp sites and beach access points as you drive back up along the Ningaloo Reef.

Once back at Osprey Bay we did some more snorkelling and Karen got to swim with 4 turtles this time!! I have the attention span of an ant so I only stay in the water for around 30 minutes at a time at best. Karen will stay in it for hours......plus in my mind, the more you're in it the better the chance to get eaten by shark haha

I spent a little bit of time later that day packing up some of our gear as we had to leave the next morning.

We had left overs for tea and went to bed.
